Moving a cat can be stressful — for both you and your feline friend. In 2025, we have more tools, better understanding of cat behaviour, and new products that help make the move smoother.
Before the Move
Start by acclimatising your cat to its carrier. Bring familiar items like toys or blankets. Visit the vet for any last-minute health checks.
During Transit
Keep some water and a litter tray accessible, secure the carrier so it doesn’t shift, and maintain a comfortable temperature.
After Arriving
Set up a safe room first — a small area with food, water, litter, hiding spots — then gradually introduce them to the rest of the house.
